I've Never Had Better Sushi

Posted by MoSushi on 6/6/2009

Sumo: Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi is awesome. They have wonderful sushi chefs, and if you've never tried sushi before; this is where to start. The sushi chefs are really great at finding something even you didn't know you'd like. The hibachi chefs are just as superb, and they always provide customers with a great dinner and a very entertaining show. They also have a full bar with an amazing bartender (Faith), who can make one delicious Lemon-Drop Martini among other great beverages. Their dining room is very convenient; they have a huge screen where you can watch all your favorite sports teams while you eat, so you don't have to miss any games! You can also dine on their patio, which provides a pretty relaxing environment. Most of their staff are very courteous, and they are very good at their jobs, but sometimes they seem to be a bit understaffed. The managers at Sumo are really wonderful people, and they are sure to have smiles on their faces whenever you see them. The whole restaurant is great; I have yet to find sushi or salmon that I like more than Sumo's! Try it, it's yummy, you wont regret it!

Top Quality Sushi for Top Dollar

We love Sumo's Sushi! It's a little on the pricey side but the quality can't be beat. The servers need a little help remebering to keep your glass full. The sushi chefs create some decadent delights! The Hibashi grill isn't bad either but extremely pricey for the small portions and EVERYTHING cost extra that is normally included in other Japanese Steak Houses. The atmosphere is delightful since the renovation. All in all, it's a great place for a special occasion. The lunch specials are a pretty good value too. Beware to check you ticket at the end! The last 2 out of 3 times there was an additional entree on my bill. They make it right but you have to call them on it. Also, they add an 18% gratuity, like it or not! It doesn't say this on the menu, only on your first bill. If you you give them a credit card, it shamelessly asks for another tip. The catch is most clients don't catch it and don't realize they are paying this ON TOP OF the tip they already gave.
