The Wayne County Museum collects, preserves and exhibits artifacts dealing with the history of the county. It is located in downtown Goldsboro's historic district, across from the post office. Featured at the museum is an exhibit on the Civil War, a Hall of Fame of locals who made significant contributions in the county's history, and three or four special exhibits every year.
